About Global Legacy

Global Legacy was founded in 2017 and began as a competition team under the name Team Global Kidz. Today, it is an elite crew specializing in Afro and Dancehall styles, consisting of dancers aged 16–20.
In the past, the team mainly competed in events such as Hip Hop Unite, UDO, Danmark Har Talent, CDC Festival, and Malmö Dance Week. Today, the focus is broader – Global Legacy now works intensively on both technical development and artistic expression, representing their dance styles on stage. The crew performs at concerts, festivals, and sports events, as well as private parties, street events, and music videos. They also take part in dance productions, often featuring renowned guest teachers, including E-Flex (Ghana).
Global Legacy is known for its strong community spirit and energetic presence – both on and off stage. Over the years, the crew has been coached by Gage Rifical, Colosal Titan, Felicia Baby, and Amalie Zaar. Today, Datif serves as head coach and also performs with the team. In addition, the crew regularly trains with international guest teachers and coaches, especially in preparation for projects and performances.
At certain times, the crew trains once a week with their coach and once independently. During project or performance periods, training is intensified to 2–3 sessions per week with the coach.
Audition & Requirements
Admission to Global Legacy takes place through an audition. Participants will first train with the crew and the coach, then present a prepared solo choreography (approx. 30 seconds). Finally, a short individual interview will be conducted. The crew, coach, and the director of World Dance Academy will jointly decide who is accepted.
To join Global Legacy, you must be at least 17 years old and committed to two weekly training sessions, with additional rehearsals as needed. New members are expected to gradually reach the level required to participate in shows and competitions.
