ABOUT OBINI ACHÉ
What does it mean to be a woman?
Obini Aché is a raw, honest, and physical dance narrative about the journey into womanhood — with all the strength, vulnerability, beauty, expectations, and inner struggles it contains. The performance moves from a young person’s view of identity to encounters with both external and internal pressures, unfolding the many layers that shape a woman.
Inspired by the Yoruba concept of feminine life force and creative energy, the dancers explore themes such as community, comparison, relationships, insecurity, care, and inner strength. The audience is invited into a space where facades crumble and authenticity emerges.
On stage are seven dancers from Global Legacy, aged 17–20, together with Simone Skovgaard — not only as performers, but as co-creators of a shared story. The choreography was developed by E-Flex in close collaboration with the dancers themselves, giving the performance a deeply present and personal character.
Obini Aché does not provide a single answer to what it means to be a woman — it opens a space for experience, reflection, and recognition. A reminder that femininity is diverse and constantly evolving.

Global Legacy was founded in 2017 as a competition crew under the name Team Global Kidz. Today, it is an elite crew focused on Afro and dancehall styles and consists of dancers aged 16–20.
Previously, the crew mainly participated in competitions such as Hiphop Unite, UDO, Denmark’s Got Talent, CDC Festival, and Malmö Dance Week. Today, Global Legacy works more broadly with both technical development and artistic performance, appearing at concerts, festivals, sports events, special events, music videos, and stage productions.
The crew is known for its strong sense of community and energetic stage presence. Over the years, it has worked with coaches such as Gage Rifical, Colosal Titan, Felicia Cameron, and Amalie Zaar, while Datif the Great and Simone Skovgaard are currently regular coaches. In addition, the crew continuously receives training from international guest instructors, including E-Flex from Ghana.
With her Cuban roots, Simone Guerra Skovgaard has grown up with dance and music her entire life. She has also been part of Global Kidz & World Dance Academy since the association’s beginning, as the daughter of founder Mikala Hoff.
She studied at Flow Dance Academy in Copenhagen and Paris and frequently travels on study trips to learn and explore different dance styles — most recently in Ghana. She is a versatile dancer with a playful approach to teaching.
