Roskilde Festival x World Dance Academy: Exploring Antiracism Through Dance

Once again, World Dance Academy has been invited to bring the rhythm to Roskilde Festival — this time with a deep dive into the roots of dance.

Sunday, June 29th, 2025
13.00-16.00
Dancefloor, Roskilde Festival

This year, the event is titled Exploring Antiracism Through Dance — a powerful initiative using movement as a tool to challenge racism and ignorance. Through this project, World Dance Academy highlights dance styles born from the fight against inequality and oppression, showing how these forms remain vital expressions of identity, resilience, and community.

Across three interactive workshops led by professional dancers, participants will explore dance styles from GhanaJamaica, and The United States. The energy then shifts into high gear with the Culture Clash Dance Battle — a 2 vs 2 all-styles showdown featuring Afrobeats, Dancehall, and Hiphop.

The event wraps up with an Exhibition Battle, where judges engage in a live dialogue through dance — followed by an open dance floor that invites everyone to join.

This isn’t just a dance event — it’s a celebration of how movement can be a force for dialogue, connection, and cultural understanding.

Workshop & Judges: Gage Rifical [JA], Brice Johnson [US] & E-Flex [GH]
